Earlier this year, Westerfield Electric, LLC, in partnership with Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. of Indiana/Kentucky (ABC), announced the opening of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program. Open Enrollment for the next class (beginning in September) will be on August 3rd, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Westerfield Electric’s offices (2960 Fairview Drive, Owensboro, KY 42303). If you are interested in attaining your Electrical Journeyman Certificate, or know someone who is, you won’t want to miss Open Enrollment.
Westerfield Electric LLC delivers the training for this program, which is taught by an NCCER certified electrical craft professional. As the NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor, ABC provides ongoing technical support and oversight of the training program.
Graduates from the apprenticeship training program earn NCCER credentials for the electrical trade, an ABC Craft Professional Certification, and a journey-man certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor.
NCCER, according to it’s website, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) educational foundation which develops standardized construction and maintenance curriculum and assessments with portable credentials. Westerfield Electric is proud to partner with NCCER and ABC of Indiana/Kentucky to help contribute to the workforce development initiative taking place both nationwide and here in the Western Kentucky and Owensboro areas.
